There are many perks at working at a Used Car Lot. Main one is that you get to see the new inventory and test drive them before they are posted online. I’ve been trolling CL nightly but couldn’t make my $ stretch far enough so it’s single confirmed that I shall have a short term car note. No exact pictures of the car just yet because I refused to upload them on our dealership’s site until I took a shot at getting it.
My car (fingers crossed) is actually an SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) and it pretty much looks just like this.
It’s a has the inline six and is automatic. It’s also nicely equipped with all sorts of goodies.

Car loans aren’t bad if you’re stable. They become hell if your finances become in trouble. If you can manage it and are allowed to do it, you could pay a bit extra every month to get it over with sooner.

That’s precisely the plan. I’m currently rebuilding my credit. I’ll never purchase new again without a sizeable down payment that’s for sure. Car note on a 2013 Civic I had was $406/month. Fortunately I now have a better job and have wised up. I set a budget that I won’t spend more than $500/month on a note and insurance combined. Priced everything out and the note plus insurance is $360. I call that a win.

Damn that’s a lot of coin for a Civic. I’m guessing the insurance was at least a quarter of that total?

More like a little better than half. Insurance was I believe $220 something. With added fuel costs I was paying close to $800/month for the distinguished privilege of driving a Civic.
